🌐 Mobile Proxy Guide
Complete technical documentation for setting up and managing your RelayKit mobile proxies — connection methods, location switching, IP rotation, and troubleshooting.
Overview
RelayKit mobile proxies route your traffic through real 4G/5G smartphones on US carrier networks. Each proxy license is 100% dedicated — one modem, one customer, never shared. You get a real mobile IP address identical to those used by millions of everyday users, giving you the highest trust scores with any platform.
Proxies are available on three US carriers — AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon — across 50+ US cities. All plans support HTTP and SOCKS5 protocols, IP whitelisting, manual IP reset, and TCP fingerprint spoofing.
Plan Types & Carriers
RelayKit sources proxies from two provider networks. The plan type shown at checkout depends on which carrier and city you select. From a setup and usage standpoint they work identically — same ports, same dashboard controls, same features.
AT&T, T-Mobile & Verizon — Flexible Billing Plans
Proxies on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon are available in short-term billing cycles with both 4G and 5G modem tiers:
- 4G — Solid, consistent speeds. Great for most use cases.
- 5G — Higher throughput where available.
Billing periods: Day, Week, Month. These proxies support location changes (within the same 4G or 5G tier) and are available in select major US metros including New York, Houston, Chicago, and more.
Verizon — Multi & Single Location Plans (Monthly)
Verizon is also available on longer monthly subscription terms with two location plan types:
- Multi Location — Access any of 50+ US cities. Switch locations freely, unlimited times.
- Single Location — Lock to one city for your subscription period. More affordable when you need a fixed location. Includes up to 2 location changes.
Getting Your Credentials
After purchasing a proxy plan, your credentials are available in your dashboard immediately.
Your credentials will look like this:
HTTP Port: 8000
SOCKS5 IP: your-proxy-ip
SOCKS5 Port: 9000
Username: your-username
Password: your-password
HTTP vs SOCKS5 — Which Should I Use?
Both protocols send your traffic through the same mobile proxy. The difference is how they handle it:
- HTTP (port 8000) — Works with most browsers and apps natively. Supports HTTPS traffic too (just check "Also use for HTTPS" when configuring). Easier to set up in most browsers.
- SOCKS5 (port 9000) — Lower-level protocol that handles any type of traffic, not just web. Better for applications that support it, antidetect browsers, and tools that need full traffic routing.
If you're just using a web browser, HTTP is the simplest option. For antidetect browsers, automation tools, or mobile apps, SOCKS5 is generally preferred.
HTTP Proxy — Firefox Setup
HTTP / SOCKS5 — FoxyProxy Browser Extension
FoxyProxy is a browser extension that lets you manage multiple proxy configurations easily, and quickly switch between them. It works with both HTTP and SOCKS5. We recommend using it with Firefox for the best compatibility.
Installation
Install the FoxyProxy Standard extension from your browser's extension store (search "FoxyProxy Standard").
Adding Your Proxy
- IP address (from the HTTP or SOCKS5 field)
- Port: 8000 for HTTP, 9000 for SOCKS5
- Username and password
SOCKS5 — Android (SocksDroid)
To route your Android device's traffic through your proxy, use the SocksDroid app (free on Google Play).
Changing Locations
Location switching works slightly differently depending on which carrier your proxy is on.
AT&T & T-Mobile Plans
Click your proxy card in the dashboard and use the Change Location button. You can move to any available city within the same modem tier (4G plans stay on 4G, 5G on 5G). The change takes a few seconds while the modem connects to the new location and your new credentials are assigned.
Verizon Multi Location Plans
Unlimited location changes are included. From your proxy license page, scroll to the locations list and click Connect next to any available city. The switch is instant.
If you see "Location Full — Try Again Later", that city's modems are at capacity. Wait a few minutes and try again, or choose a different city.
Verizon Single Location Plans
Single Location plans include 2 location changes. After using both changes, the proxy locks to that city for the remainder of your subscription. Choose your location carefully.
IP Reset
Every RelayKit proxy supports manual IP resets. An IP reset gives you a fresh mobile IP address from the carrier network — the process takes 4–10 seconds.
From your proxy license page in the dashboard, click the Reset IP button. Your outbound IP will change within seconds. Use this whenever you need a clean slate.
IP Whitelisting
IP Whitelisting lets you connect to your proxy without a username or password. Instead, your public IP address is pre-authorized — any connection from that IP is automatically authenticated.
This is useful when your public IP is stable (like an office network or a server with a fixed IP), and you want to avoid entering credentials in every application.
TCP Fingerprint Spoofing
TCP Fingerprint Spoofing makes your connection appear to originate from a specific operating system at the network level — independently of your browser's user agent.
Available OS profiles:
- Default — No spoofing, uses the modem's native fingerprint
- Windows — Mimics a Windows PC
- macOS / iOS — Mimics Apple hardware
- Linux / Android — Mimics Linux or Android devices
To get the best results, match your browser's user agent to the OS you've selected for spoofing. For example, if you set spoofing to Windows, make sure your browser reports a Windows user agent.
Troubleshooting
Proxy isn't connecting
- Double-check you've copied the IP, port, username, and password exactly — no extra spaces.
- Make sure you're using the right port: 8000 for HTTP, 9000 for SOCKS5.
- Confirm your proxy license is active and not expired in the dashboard.
- Verizon plans: confirm you've selected a location and clicked Connect — credentials won't appear until a location is selected.
- AT&T / T-Mobile plans: credentials are assigned at purchase and shown immediately in the dashboard. If the IP field is blank, open the proxy card and wait a moment for credentials to load.
Connection is slow
- Try an IP Reset from the dashboard — this gets you a fresh address on the carrier network.
- Try switching to a different city using the Change Location option.
- If you have TCP Fingerprint Spoofing enabled, try disabling it temporarily — it can reduce speeds slightly.
- On AT&T/T-Mobile 5G plans, speeds may vary by city and time of day — try a different city if one feels slow.
Platform is blocking my proxy
- Try resetting your IP — you may have been assigned an IP that was previously flagged by that platform.
- Make sure you don't have a conflicting VPN running alongside the proxy.
- Try switching carriers — if your AT&T IP is flagged, try a T-Mobile or Verizon city for a different IP pool.
- Some platforms detect and block proxy traffic regardless of IP type. Switching to a different location can help.
Still not working?
